Domestic Scholarship
In addition to our ongoing support of the schools in Gonaives communities, we will be raising donations in 2024.
The annual WEI Scholarship Award is awarded to deserving high school Senior(s) who best meet the requirements set forth by the Scholarship Committee. Scholarship awards are limited to assist with tuition, fees and/or books. Award amounts are at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee.
The Selection Committee will review and score all submitted applications and may choose to interview applicants.
Completed applications and all supporting documents must be postmarked or received no later than Thursday, August 15, 2024 at 5:00 PM. PST.
The scholarship recipients will be notified no later than August 31, 2024.
“The annual WEI Scholarships were awarded to deserving high school Senior(s) who:
· Graduated in 2024, Attended a high school in Alameda, Contra Costa and Solano Counties or
· Lived in Alameda, Contra Costa and Solano Counties and attended an Accredited Virtual High School.
There are 6 Awards: (2) $1000.00, (2) $500.00, (2) $250.00. Eligible candidates are encouraged to apply.

A sponsor’s partnership with Water and Education International (WEI) is a simple yet profound concept.
WEI has been helping Haiti since 2007. in Gonaives, WEI financially supports over 300 school age children by building schools, providing education, installing free community wells, feeding families and providing disaster & emergency suppport during earthquakes, floods and cholera outbreaks. WEI also send mission teams each year for summer camp training.
